Our mare Annastasia (s.Silverstone) produced a filly on the 17th of May 2016. The chestnut foal is a daughter of AES-stallion Detroit VDL and has received the name Luscinia Eickenrode, Latin for little nightingale. Luscinia is a high-blooded, long-legged appealing foal and shows a great canter.
De geSire Detroit VDL is bred out of the European champion mare Helena, which makes him sibling of three international showjumpers including the Grand Prix jumper Southwind VDL. At the Foal Inspection in Terschuur, Luscinia Eickenrode was bestowed with the first premium. She placed first among the jumping fillies and was invited back to the championship round in the afternoon where she placed sixth. Since she is Register A in the studbook, she was not eligible to qualify for a ticket to the National Foal Championships in Ermelo.
