Tot ons verdriet werden wij deze week opgeschrikt door een ernstige koliek aanval bij de Ahorn-merrie Noraly. Een zeer slechte prognose noodzaakte euthanasie.

Lancearius Eickenrode reservekampioen springveulens Terschuur
Op de Paardenfokdag Veluwe & Vallei werd onze Lancearius Eikenrode, een hengstveulen van Harley VDL uit onze elite sport-merrie Boracific VDL v.Indorado reservekampioen van de springveulens. Hierbij werd hij tevens uitgenodigd voor de Nationale Veulenkeuring in Ermelo.
Onze Luscinia Eickenrode (Detroit VDL x Silverstone) werd 's morgens 1e bij de merrieveulens springen en 's middags in de kampioenskeuring zesde
Lancearius Eickenrode vice-champion jumper foals Terschuur
At the foal inspections in Terschuur our Lancearius Eickenrode, a colt by Harley vdl out of our elite sport-mare Boracific vdl (s.Indorado) was made vice-champion of the jumper foals. He was also invited to the National Foal Championships in Ermelo.
Our Luscinia Eickenrode (Detroit VDL X Silverstone) placed 1st of the mare jumper foals in the morning and placed sixth in the championships round in the afternoon.
Während der Fohlen Inspektion in Terschuur wurde Lancearius Eickenrode aus unserer Elite Sport Stute Boracific VDL (v. Indorado) Vice-Champiion bei den Springfohlen.
Er durfte auch teilnehmen an der Nationale Fohlen Meisterschaften in Ermelo.
Bei den Springfohlenstuten erzielte Luscinia Eickenrode (Detroit VDL x Silverstone) den ersten Platz und wurde sechste in der Championship Runde am Nachmittag.

Zaterdagavond 9 juli werden wij verblijd met de geboorte van een bloederig, chique hengstveulen van Kannan uit onze Heartbreaker-merrie.
Saturday evening the 9th of July a beautiful, high-blooded colt by Kannan was born out of our Heartbreaker-mare.

Ignigena Eickenrode ontwikkelt zich goed in Eemnes

De driejarige Ignigena Eikenrode ontwikkelt zich goed. De door ons gefokte dochter van Eldorado vd Zeshoek uit onze Heartbreaker-merrie Heartbeat Z werd geboren in 2013 en later dat jaar verkocht. Ignigena toont veel vermogen en voorzichtigheid en lijkt een belofte voor de toekomst. Heartbeat Z verwacht binnenkort een veulen van Kannan, we zijn erg benieuwd naar het resultaat!
The three-year-old Ignigena Eickenrode is developing well. Our homebred mare by Eldorado vd Zeshoek out of our Heartbreaker-mare Heartbeat Z was born in 2013 and sold later that year. Ignigena shows plenty of scope and carefulness, a true promise for the future! In a few weeks she will hopefully have another half brother/-sister as Heartbeat Z is due of a foal by Kannan. We cannot wait to see the result!

Dinsdagmorgen 17 mei zette onze Silverstone-merrie een merrieveulen van Detroit VDL ter wereld. Ze is een mooi, bloederig en hoogbenig vos veulen.
Tuesday morning the 17th of May, our Silverstone-mare gave birth to a beautiful, elegant chestnut filly by Detroit VDL.

Dinsdagmorgen 10 mei verwelkomden wij een hengstveulentje van Arezzo VDL uit de Ahorn-merrie Noraly. Het veulentje heeft de naam Longanimus gekregen, Latijn voor lankmoedig, volhardend.
Tuesday morning the 10th of May, a colt by Arezzo VDL was born out of Ahorn-mare. The foal received the name Longanimus, Latin for patient.

Zondagmorgen 24 april werd er een merrieveulen van Grand Slam VDL uit onze Indoctro-merrie Eline H geboren. Het veulen is bruin en heeft veel rasuitstraling en houding. Ze heeft de naam Lanceola gekregen, dit is Latijn voor kleine lans/speer.
Sunday morning April 24th, a beautiful bay filly by Grand Slam VDL was born out of our Indoctro-mare Eline H. She received the name Lanceola, Latin for little spear.

Zaterdagmorgen mochten wij een hengstveulentje van Harley VDL uit onze NMK-merrie Boracific VDL elite sport-spr v.Indorado verwelkomen. Dit veulentje komt uit stam 474a en is een volle broer van Eickenrode's Gladius.
Saturday morning we could welcome the latest addition to Eickenrode; a colt by Harley VDL out of our NMK-mare Boracific VDL elite sport-spr s.Indorado. This foal comes out of line 474a and is the full brother of Eickenrode's Gladius.

De door ons gefokte driejarige Icelos Eickenrode (v.Dakar VDL uit Eline H v.Indoctro x Corrado I) werd vrijdagavond 8 januari jongstleden tweede op het HIO Vrijspringen voor driejarigen in Oirschot. Niemand minder dan Rob Ehrens beoordeelde in deze competitie de driejarige en gaf punten voor de techniek, afdruk, vermogen en algemene indruk. Icelos Eickenrode werd geprezen om zijn voorzichtigheid en vermogen en ontving een prachtig protocol :

Algemene indruk: 8,5
Totaal: 42,5 punten
Icelos Eickenrode werd in 2013 via Veulenveiling Midden-Nederland verkocht aan familie Van Eerd.
The three-year-old Icelos Eickenrode (s.Dakar VDL out of Eline H s. Indoctro x Corrado I) came in second place at the HIO free jumping for 3-year-olds in Oirschot last Friday night. Rob Ehrens, coach of the Dutch national jumping team, was given the task to judge the three-year-olds on their technique, impulsion of the ground, scope and overall impression. Icelos Eickenrode was praised for being very careful and showing a lot of scope and received a lovely score:

Icelos Eickenrode was bred by us and was sold to Family Van Eerd via Foal Auction Midden Nederland in 2013.
